Search for historic pictures of Deux-Montagnes

Deux-Montagnes, July 14, 2020 – The City of Deux-Montagnes will celebrate its 100th anniversary next year. Citizens who have in their possession beautiful pictures relating the history of our community, or vintage photos to discover Deux-Montagnes from a different perspective, are invited to share them with the administration of the City.

We are particularly looking for photos taken during milestones, pictures demonstrating the significant involvement of local community organizations over time, of the urban environment of the old days (e.g. the lively crowded beaches, the old train in function, gatherings on the forecourt of our churches, shop fronts, etc.).

Send us your historic treasures in a digital format to communications@ville.deux-montagnes.qc.ca  or bring them to City Hall (803 chemin d’Oka)  by August 28 at the latest at 11:30 am  so that we can digitize the selected photographs.

When sending one or more photographs, please specify your name and contact details (name, email, phone number), a description of the photograph, the year it was taken and the name of the photographer if the information is available.

In advance, thank you for helping us to share this photo search advice with your friends; the historic pictures will be used for the production of the 2021 municipal calendar, among other communication tools surrounding the Deux-Montagnes 100th anniversary.

Please note: it should be noted that the City of Deux-Montagnes must be able to use the selected photographs in different publications and communication tools, without any compensation to the people who provided them. A consent form to this effect must be signed.
