Human Resources Policies

The Human Resources Department has implemented various policies in 2006-2007, in the interest of current and future employees.

Hiring Policy

The Hiring Policy, introducing a fair and objective hiring procedure, was adopted in May of 2007. Municipal authorities opted for such a policy for purposes of transparency and equity and to respect equal access to employment legislation. The Hiring Policy is presented as a document, which clearly identifies the procedures to be followed when hiring personnel. The major objectives guiding the municipal administration’s choices with regard to recruiting, selecting and hiring personnel are also described.

Harassment in the Workplace Policy

By adopting this policy, the City of Deux-Montagnes expresses its reprobation vis-à-vis all forms of harassment within its organization and guarantees its employees a professional working environment where everyone is treated with respect and dignity. This policy is both a prevention and correction tool to counter the harassment phenomenon, by promoting awareness to the problems and creating a support and redress mechanism.
