Human ressources


The Human Resources Department’s role is to provide counselling, support and expertise for municipal employees, in all sectors of activity related to human resources, such as:

  • Employer-employee relations (negotiations, application and interpretation of collective agreements, grievances, concepts of law, labour laws, etc.)
  • Staffing (hiring, job posting, movement of personnel, welcoming and integrating new employees)Formation continue et planification des besoins de formation
  • Continuous training; identifying and planning training needs
  • Health and safety in the workplace (work injury management, prevention)
  • Employee benefits (group insurance, pension plans, etc.)
  • Organizational development (HR policies, procedures and frameworks)
  • Etc.

The Human Resources Department has an “open-door” philosophy and urges employees to consult their services, whether the problem at hand is of a professional or personal nature.
