Deux-Montagnes, October 8, 2020 – The City of Deux-Montagnes ask the population to be vigilant as residents who have been victims of false representations from dishonest contractors over the past few days regarding a paving contract services.

We were told that some contractors , who claims to be a subcontractor for the City of Deux-Montagnes, goes door-to-door to offer a private driveway paving work service, saying that the City of Deux-Montagnes reimburses 20% of the bill when citizens retain the services of this company. Then, the contractor applies the fake rebate instantly to a price, which they have initially increased.   It is important to know that the City of Deux-Montagnes has no such agreements with contractors and the City does not offer any kind of subsidy or reimbursement for any type of work done on citizens’ land. These are dishonest practices by vendors who intentionally give false and misleading information for the only purpose of promoting their business.
