The City of Deux-Montagnes has begun inspection work for the fire hydrants throughout the territory.

During the cleaning of the waterwork system in your area, the water coming from the faucets in the house or the water used in washing machines will show a yellow or brown color depending on the density of suspended particles.

Just make water run a few minutes before returning to normal.

Here are some basic precautions that could prevent any inconveniences

Do not shut off the water;

Always check water clarity before use;

Run water at least 15 minutes or until it is clear before drinking or using it for laundry wash;

Suggest laundry washing to be done at night or on weekends

However, if clothes are stained in the laundry because of the color of the water, the City will provide a special stain remover, which is available at the Municipal Garage located at 625, 20 th Avenue in Deux- Montagnes.
