Repair work on chemin d’Oka

Notice to residents,

The City of Deux-Montagnes received the authorization from the Government of Québec on July 12th to rehabilitate the chemin d’Oka between 9th Avenue and the east entrance of the city. The repair work is set to begin Monday, August 7th, for approximately 12 weeks.

The work will consist mainly of replacing and upgrading the drinking water pipes and sewer pipes, as well as rebuilding the roadway. The project also includes the partial rebuilding of sidewalks and curbs, and the complete repaving of the road surface. Upgrades are planned on the traffic lights at the intersection of 8th  Avenue and 9th  Avenue as well as improvements for making the crosswalks safer for pedestrians.

The project will be realized through a provincial and federal grant program that will cover the bulk of the costs of the work.

Please note that partial hindrances are to be expected and that a risk of congestion is possible.

The City of Deux-Montagnes will do its utmost to minimize the impact of the work in the area.

Thank you for your collaboration. For further information, please contact the Land Management Service at 450 473-4688.
