Tennis courts opening

Deux-Montagnes, May 20, 2020 – Following the Government of Quebec’s announcement concerning the gradual return of certain recreational sports activities, the City of Deux-Montagnes announces the opening of its tennis courts located at Olympia Park as of today.

For the safety of everyone regarding the COVID-19, the following instructions must be respected at all times by players wishing to access to the tennis courts:

  •   Access to the tennis courts is prohibited to any person: who has returned from travel outside Canada in the last 14 days; who has  symptoms related to COVID-19  or who has been in contact with a person who has had COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
  •  A maximum of two people can play on the field.
  • A distance of two metres between players must be maintained at all times, even during side changes.
  • The balls used must be identified and taken back by hand only by their owner. To perform a service, the player must, therefore, use his balls and not those of his playing partner.
  • Players must avoid touching the surfaces and equipment on the field (net, posts, benches).
  • Players are responsible for bringing their own hand sanitizer and providing sufficient drinking water for the duration of the game (water fountains are not accessible).
  • No workouts or lessons are permitted.

Citizens are invited to consult the Tennis Québec  website for more information on the  return-to-play guidelines.

The City of Deux-Montagnes would like to reminds that the sanitary facilities, modules and playgrounds are still closed to the public. Access to the parks remains permitted to citizens, who are asked to follow the government’s directive to respect a distance of 2 metres between people.
