Reopening of modules and play areas in Deux-Montagnes parks

Deux-Montagnes, June 1, 2020 – Following the Quebec government’s announcement authorizing the opening of play modules in parks and outdoor pools, the City of Deux-Montagnes announces the reopening of its modules and playgrounds today. As for its outdoor municipal swimming pool, the City wishes to open it around June 20 after having carried out the preliminary and usual maintenance work.

Water games

The water games located at parc Olympia (1005 Guy Street) and parc Louis Warren (Ronsard Street) have been open since Wednesday, when the government had already authorized a temporary opening due to the heat wave. According to the recent Public Health announcement, the water games can remain open for the entire summer season, much to the delight of the little ones!

Health guidelines

The City specifies that the green light from the Government of Quebec for the reopening of these infrastructures is conditional on compliance with health instructions  observed since the start of the pandemic. In particular, citizens have to:

– continue to respect a physical distance of 2 meters with people not living under the same roof;

– wash or disinfect their hands regularly;

– cough in their elbow;

– stay at home if they have flu-like symptoms  or those associated with COVID-19.

The City thanks its citizens in advance for their cooperation and for respecting the health guidelines issued by Public Health.
