Deux-Montagnes, June 7, 2019 – Throughout the summer, the city of Deux-Montagnes will begin the construction of a permanent dike and low retaining walls. The work will take place on public and private land.

The city wants to remind riverside residents of  lac des Deux Montagnes and of the  Mille Îles River, who would like to begin work on their low retaining wall, that they must obtain a permit from the Urban Planning Department. To find out how to proceed, citizens are invited to contact this department at 450-473-4833.

Note that in the event of non-compliance with the regulatory process (permit, plan, etc.), the city of Deux-Montagnes will stop the work and, in certain cases, will require restoration. Fines are also planned.
