Hydrant inspection work: progress update

Deux-Montagnes, November 14, 2022 – The hydrant inspection work that was to be completed on October 31 will be spread out over the month of November.  Also, the rest of the work will have to be done during the day since the temperature is now reaching freezing point at night.

Note to the citizens

  • The detachment of iron particles in the pipes can lead to cloudy , reddish  coloured  water.  It is recommended to run the cold water for a few minutes until it returns to its normal appearance.
  • Coloured water can be consumed and therefore does not cause any health risk.
  • Before using household appliances, such as washing machines or dishwashers, first make sure that the water is colourless to avoid soiling clothes or dishes.
