High risk of fire : outdoor fire ban in effect

Deux-Montagnes, June 10, 2021 – As of Wednesday evening, June 9, 2021, it is forbidden to have outdoor fires or to use fireplaces near forest on the territory of Deux-Montagnes.

In accordance with our municipal by-law 1668, this decision of the Government of Quebec, taken in collaboration with the Société de protection des forêts contre le feu (SOPFEU), results in a ban on the use of outdoor fireplaces in Deux-Montagnes, even if they are equipped with a spark screen. This ban must be respected until SOPFEU lifts the ban in effect in the Deux-Montagnes MRC.

Together, let’s limit the risk of fire. For any additional questions, contact the Fire Department at 450 473-2796, option 7.
