Fleurir Deux-Montagnes Contest, 2021 edition; and the winners are…

Deux-Montagnes, September 29, 2021 – The winners of the 33rd edition of the Fleurir Deux-Montagnes contest are now known! Over the past few days, the Mayor and the municipal councillors had the great pleasure of handing out gift certificates from local garden centers to the 17 winners. It allowed them to see the horticultural arrangements that earned a place on the list of winners.

Due to the pandemic situation, citizens had to register to participate in the contest, instead of the previous years when all residences were automatically registered. The City was pleased to see that the event generated significant interest among citizens who love gardening.

During the summer, our team of horticultural experts visited the registered addresses in order to judge the projects. They based their judgement on: the quality of the landscaping in general, the integration of structures and the variety of plants.

A total of 17 projects stood out across the districts, including special prizes for environmental effort, the most beautiful flowered balcony and the horticultural team’s favourite. It should be noted that the number of winners in each district depends on the number of registration received.

«It is with great pleasure that I observe the horticultural embellishment efforts of residents throughout our city. Fleurir Deux-Montagnes is an excellent occasion to highlight the creativity of horticulture fans and the environmental benefits that result from their accomplishments, » commented Mayor Denis Martin.
