CREATION OF THE AD HOC COMMITTEE ON THE REDEVELOPMENT OF THE GRAND-MOULIN SECTOR

Deux-Montagnes, July 26, 2019 – The members of the City Council announced yesterday at the Council meeting the composition of the new ad hoc Committee on the redevelopment of the Grand-Moulin sector.

Chaired by the District du Grand-Moulin councilor, Ms. Manon Robitaille, this committee is composed of six members, including the Director of the Urban Planning Department, Ms. Nathalie Lavoie, and four citizens of the Grand-Moulin sector who have applied for a two-year term:

  • Mr. Serge Boucher
  • Mr. Benoit Légaré
  • Mrs Yolaine Savignac
  • Mr Martin Toutant

The creation of the ad hoc Committee on the redevelopment of the Grand-Moulin sector aims to continue the implementation of the TOD Grand-Moulin in collaboration with the residents of the sector. In addition to the Urban Planning Advisory Committee, its mandate includes stimulating dialogue between the various stakeholders and monitoring the redevelopment of the sector and the implementation of the  Plan d’implantation et d’intégration architecturale (PIIA).

Its recommendations will be aimed at ensuring the application of draft by-law no. 1638 (promoting greater residential density near the future REM station) in harmony with the expectations of the community.
