COVID-19: REOPENING OF CITY SERVICES TO THE PUBLIC

Deux-Montagnes, February 6, 2021 – Following the government announcement to reopen businesses as of February 8, 2021, the City of Deux-Montagnes will also welcome citizens to the town hall and in all of its administrative offices, starting next Monday.

Citizens who wish to communicate with one of the services while limiting their physical contact are invited to contact the various departments by phone at 450 473-2796 or by using the online requests and comments form.

LIBRARY

As of February 8, access to the library shelving is still prohibited to subscribers. The team is currently evaluating the access measures and conditions to be put in place to ensure a safe reopening for all. More information will be communicated shortly to this effect.

The Deux-Montagnes library remains open to come and get documents borrowed online via the catalog or by phone. It is also possible for students to reserve a study table or a workstation with a computer. Reservations must be made by phone, at least 24 hours in advance (450 473-2796, option 5).

HEALTH MEASURES IMPLEMENTED

To protect citizens and provide a safe working environment for municipal employees, here are the measures already in place in City buildings:

  • When entering buildings, visitors must disinfect their hands using disinfectant gel made available to the public.
  • Wearing a mask is compulsory for 10 years old and over.
  • A physical distance of 2 meters must be observed between each individual. Floor stickers have been affixed in several places to facilitate compliance with this instruction.
  • Transparent acrylic panels have been installed in the various receptions.
  • Maintenance measures have been stepped up to intensify the disinfection of surfaces prone to contagion throughout City buildings.
