World War I Centennial

The year 2014 marks the centennial of World War I. A commemorative procession will take place on Saturday, July 26, at 2 p.m., starting from the Royal Canadian Legion located at 141 chemin Grand-Moulin. The procession will make a stop at City Hall on chemin d’Oka. To mark this important commemoration, the flags at City Hall will be flown at half mast.

“In honour of the thousands of Canadians who died defending our values, we have lowered our flags to half mast. May we forever cherish their bravery, dedication and courage. May they never be forgotten and may they rest in eternal peace,” said Denis Martin, Mayor of Deux-Montagnes.
