December 14, 2018 – Pending the completion of the Deux-Montagnes/Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac intermunicipal swimming pool project, City of Deux-Montagnes officials have reached an agreement with the City of Saint-Eustache. The agreement is in response to the interest expressed by many residents of Deux-Montagnes for access to indoor swimming, especially during the winter season.
Free open swim times for residents for residents of Deux-Montagnes
The agreement will allow residents of Deux-Montagnes to enjoy free open swim times reserved exclusively for them in the Complexe aquatique Saint-Eustache at 230 Boulevard Arthur-Sauvé in Saint-Eustache.
Starting on January 21, 2019, Deux-Montagnes residents will be able to enjoy free open swimming during the following time slots:
Sunday: 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm (Recreational pool)
Monday: 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm (Recreational pool)
Tuesday: 10:00 am to 12 noon (Competitive and recreational pools)
Deux-Montagnes residents must present their Deux-Montagnes Carte Loisirs to take advantage of these swim times. The Carte Loisirs is available free of charge from the City of Deux-Montagnes recreational department.
Swimming lessons offered by the City of Deux-Montagnes will continue to be held at the École des Érables pool at 1400 Chemin de l’Avenir.
The ongoing indoor pool project with the City of Ste-Marthe-sur-le-lac will benefit from a grant covering over 60% of the construction costs. The pool will be located in the City of Ste-Marthe-sur-le-lac but will be owned by both cities.
