Flowers to Beautify Our Flower Beds

The Mayor of Deux-Montagnes, Monsieur Denis Martin, is pleased to announce once again this year the 10th edition of Horticultural Day 2015, to be held May 23rd at the Deux-Montagnes Municipal Garage between 9am and 3pm.

As part of the city beautification program, Horticultural Day (La Journée horticole) is an organized activity to encourage residents to take care of their lawns and gardens in front of their properties. “This beautification project is available for everyone,” explained Denis Martin.

Deux-Montagnes residents are invited to pick up free boxes of annuals and perennials to begin their gardening project. There will be on-site an information booth for those who wish to receive some good horticultural advice. Finally, it’s also a great opportunity to meet your councillors who will cordially welcome you.

Monsieur Denis Martin, along with Neil Hawthorn, General Manager of the Caisse Desjardins Saint-Eustache-Deux-Montagnes will announce the Horticultural Day 2015 activity at a press conference that will be held on May 11, 2015 at 3pm, at the City Hall of Deux-Montagnes.

The Horticultural Day activity greatly benefits from the participation of the Caisse Desjardins Saint-Eustache-Deux-Montagnes which agreed once again this year to act as main sponsor.

“The Caisse Desjardins is pleased to financially support Horticultural Day. As a cooperative, the Caisse contributes to the well-being of its community, and by collaborating in this type of project, we know that citizens of Deux-Montagnes will be very pleased to get free flowers to improve their landscaping, stated M. Hawthorn.

Th City of Deux-Montagnes is very pleased to count on the valued volunteers as The Lions Club of Deux-Montagnes and Scouts Grand-Moulin (Group 5th) for this event.

The Mayor, councillors and Ville de Deux-Montagnes employees would like to invite gardening and greenery enthusiasts to attend this activity on Saturday May 23, from 9am to 3pm at the Municipal Garage (next to the Public works building), located at 625, 20e Avenue. Please note that you must show proof of residence in order to receive free flowers or plants.
