The City of Deux-Montagnes wishes to inform citizens that as part of an Earth Day Quebec initiative, the ÉcoIGA Fund will distribute eco-friendly, discounted products to citizens who wish to do so.

The rainwater barrels save 4800 liters of water per year, or 3% of the drinking water consumption of a Quebecer. As for composters, the initiative allows 150 kilograms of organic waste to be diverted from landfill or incineration sites.

The IGA Sénécal and Daughters of Deux-Montagnes will be organizing a distribution of discounted ecological items at 850 chemin d’Oka on May 17, from 4 pm to 7 pm. To obtain a composter or a barrel, citizens must sign up  here.
